Timberland x Sponge Bob
When: Sep 2019
24 years ago, an ordinary yellow sponge was submerged at the bottom of the sea and a hero emerged – SpongeBob SquarePants. 2019 marks the anniversary. In honor of this, Timberland has created a collection of SpongeBob footwear.
The Timberland x SpongeBob collection includes two pairs of 6-inch waterproof boots with small inserts that reference the cartoon series.
Blue model

On the bright blue model, SpongeBob is seen catching jellyfish, just like in the cartoon. The drawing on the inside is slightly smaller – it features Patrick running away from the same jellyfish.

The cartoon elements are present on the tongue and on the inside surface of the shoe. Pink laces are also included in the set.
Black model
There is also a black model available. It features SpongeBob’s opponent – Plankton.

On this model, the Timberland logo is designed in the form of a Krabby Patty, which Plankton supposedly stole. And if you look closely at the yellow laces, they look like a sponge.
This collection was released in September and quickly sold out. In Russia, I haven’t seen these models, and most likely they just weren’t available here. Timberland often has interesting collaborations… By the way, this collection was released following the Nike x SpongeBob collaboration.
